For over 150 years, Fletcher Free Library has been a cornerstone of our community—a trusted space where people come to gather, learn, and grow. As a downtown anchor institution, we are proud to play a vital role in connecting individuals and fostering opportunity. Now, we’re reimagining our library to meet the evolving needs of our community and serve as an even greater force for connection and growth.

Our revitalized space will feature thoughtfully designed areas for gathering, learning, working, and relaxing—all within a sustainably refurbished building. From welcoming reading nooks and collaborative workspaces to imaginative areas for children and state-of-the-art technology, the new library will enrich lives and energize downtown Burlington. Together, we’ll create a vibrant hub where everyone can connect, share ideas, and thrive.
